Foundations of Excellence Community of Practice
An Invitation and Overview
The Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education is pleased to host the Foundations of Excellence Community of Practice Meeting April 12, 2015, at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites in Charlotte, NC. This meeting will give participants an opportunity to reconnect with other Foundations of Excellence participants and to make new friends in our rapidly growing network which now includes over 260 institutions. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in round table discussions about Foundations of Excellence.
The FoE Community of Practice is open to all former and current participants in Foundations of Excellence as well as those interested in learning more about this self-study and improvement process. We welcome institutional teams as well.

9:00 – 9:15 am – Welcome and Overview of Meeting
9:15 – 10:15 am – Round table discussions on FoE Implementation
10:15 – 10:30 am – Coffee break
10:30 – 11:30 am – Round table Discussions: 1. Maintaining Momentum with FoE OR Results/Findings and Impact from other FoE Schools
11:30 am – 12:45 pm – Lunch and Plenary Session from Gardner Institute on Current Trends in Student Success
12:45 – 1:45 pm – Round table discussions on Applied Analytics and Using Data
1:45 – 2:00 pm – Closing Session
2:00 pm – Adjournment
Registration Deadline: April 1, 2015
Registration Fee: $200
The registration fee recovers the costs for providing: meeting room space, presenter a/v equipment, materials, lunch, reception and beverage breaks.
Refund Policy: Cancellations on or before March 1st will have the registration fee refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. A written request for refunds is required. Cancellations on or before April 1st will have the 1/2 of the registration fee refunded. Absolutely no refunds will be issued after April 1st. We cannot accept refund requests resulting from cancelled flights and/or Acts of God.
NOTE: You must register separately for the Annual Gateway Course Experience Conference.
The FoE Community of Practice will be held in Charlotte, NC at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites. The location is also the conference venue for the Annual Gateway Course Experience Conference which follows the FoE Community of Practice.

Free Hotel Shuttle from Charlotte Airport: Call 704-357-1414 when you retrieve your luggage and they will pick you up from the airport free of charge. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes.
