Rebecca P. Campbell, Ph.D. is a Visiting Scholar for the Gardner Institute and Professor at Northern Arizona University. Rebecca primarily teaches courses for the Professional Education Program. She joined NAU in 1995 as a visiting professor. She has experience mentoring graduate student research and served as the Department Chair for Academic Transition Programs where she was responsible for implementing multiple different firsts-year seminars and retention interventions. Her interests include looking at best practices in first-year seminar design, academic probation interventions, common reading programs and gateway courses. Recent publications include, Student Attributions for Academic Probation, Boosting First-Year Courses and Programs with Technology and The Scholarship of a Movement: A 24-year Content Analysis of the Journal of The First-Year Experience & Students in Transition. She is the co-author of Learning Strategies for College and Career, 3rd ed.
